This news just in! The PNG Electoral Commissioner Simon Sinai has recommended to the Governor General an extension of the return of writs from 29th July to August 12th 2022. Mr Sinai says this extension will allow for counting to be concluded and results to be declared. The Governor General has accepted this extension to the return of writs to 12th August 2022 at 4pm.
