In light of the recent prison break at the Buiebi Correctional Service (CS) facility in Southern Highlands Province, the Provincial Police Commander (PPC) is now appealing to the public to be cautious when out and about doing their daily chores. The Deputy Commissioner Regional Operations Dr. Philip Mitna announced this afternoon in Port Moresby that there will be a new police special operations team to be created. He said this new team will be created by the Police Commissioner to deal with violent crimes and Domestic Terrorism in the country, especially in the Highlands Region.
