Thirteen other workers were selected under the Lae Labour Mobility Program and are preparing to leave for Australia this weekend. The workers are part of a group of 21 candidates selected to work for a casino food company in New South Wales.
The 13 workers completed their oath and declaration at the Lae City Authority office this week. They will join eight other candidates who completed the same process earlier this month.
The workers will take up jobs in the food service industry as part of the overseas employment program.
The Lae Labour Mobility Program is providing workers with access to overseas jobs while giving them the chance to gain new skills and work experience.
The workers are expected to leave for New South Wales this weekend.
