OPERATION KIMBA UNDERWAY
Around 50 Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel arrived this afternoon in Port Moresby to provide support for this year’s National General Elections. At the request of the Government of Papua New Guinea, the ADF will be providing logistics and air mobility support to the elections under Operation Kimba or OP KIMBA. This is part of the broader support provided by Australia in preparation for the 2022 PNG National General Elections.
