Aspiring speakers and future leaders will have the opportunity to showcase their public speaking skills at the first-ever Real Wanz Public Speaking Competition, happening this Saturday, March 1 at PNG Officeworks, Six Mile. This groundbreaking event, sponsored by PNG Officeworks, is open to everyone, with free registration. Designed to cultivate confidence, communication, and leadership skills, the competition is particularly aimed at young speakers and future leaders, providing them with a platform to develop their public speaking abilities. Participants can pre-register online by submitting a 30-second video showcasing their speaking skills. However, on-the-day registration is also available and does not require a video submission. Each participant will have a maximum of five minutes to deliver their speech, competing in one of the following categories: Ages 10–14 Ages 15–18 Open Category (Ages 19 and above) Speeches can fall under four themes: Informative – Presenting factual information. Persuasive – Convincing the audience about a particular viewpoint. Demonstrative – Explaining a process or concept step-by-step. Entertainment – Stand-up Comedy only. The competition offers incredible prizes, including four computers, four printers, four smartphones, and cash prizes. Participants will be evaluated by a panel of highly respected professionals, including: Leoshina Kiriha – Former Miss South Pacific and PNG media & leadership expert. Eddie Aila – Leadership coach and mentor. Hennah Joku – Journalist and communications specialist These experts will provide valuable insights and constructive feedback to help participants sharpen their public speaking skills.
