COACH KOMENG APPRECIATES FAMILY SUPPORT

The Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Prime Minister's (PM's) Cup kicked off this afternoon in Port Moresby, much to the excitement of the soccer fans in the city and those travelling from afar.

The tournament commenced with the inaugural women's match in the event between Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Fiji.

The PNG Women's National Team's Head Coach Erickson Komeng expressed his appreciation to the support from his players' families and guardians for the Melanesian Spearhead Group- Prime Minister's Cup.

Speaking to PNG HAUSBUNG, Coach Komeng extended his thanks to the positive support from the families and guardians who have allowed the players to play for the national team.

"I think the number-one fans are the fathers, mother, sisters and brothers."

"Thank you so much for allowing the girls to participate, be part of the team."

"You are always the backbone of support to the players."

Acknowledging their participation in the tournament, Coach Komeng urged the immediate families and friends to come out and support throughout the week.
