Kiriwina Secondary school in the Milne Bay Province has been a secondary school for the 3rd year now but since getting upgraded to secondary school status, the school has been enrolling more students but there are not enough infrastructures to cater for the students. The Ministerial Vaccine Taskforce visited New Ireland Provincial Health Authority from March 12 – 16 2023 to learn about challenges in managing COVID-19 as well as their successes and experiences. The Taskforce aim is to ensure that 60%-80% of all health facilities with functioning Cold Chain Equipment (CCE) have COVID-19 vaccines by March 2023; And 100% of all health facilities with functioning CCE must have both COVID-19 and routine immunisation vaccines.
