79 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Western province on Monday this week while the existing 30 confirmed Delta Variant cases in the country have all recovered. Of the 30 Delta Variant cases that recovered, one case was from Madang, seven from NCD and the remaining 22 cases were from Western province. A total of 3798 students from Central province in secondary schools and tertiary institutions including TVET will benefit from the 2021 Central Province Governor’s School Fee Assistance Program. Central Governor Robert Agarobe announced this week that a funding of K6m will be distributed to schools in the province inclusive of Central students that are attending secondary schools in NCD.
