Papua New Guinea has recorded 205 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours ending 12 midday on Wednesday April 7, increasing the total number of cases to 7,839. The country’s total known COVID-19 deaths is 68. The National Capital District reported 27 new cases of which 19 are males, seven females and one not stated. Their ages range from 23 to 68 years. Nineteen cases showed symptoms of COVID-19 whilst eight were asymptomatic at the time of testing.
