Police responded quickly and saved the life of a man who was beaten up by a rowdy crowd and held captive at the ATS settlement outside Port Moresby last night before Police attended. The wounded man and two others were allegedly carrying bush knives and acting suspiciously, when they were disarmed and beaten up by vigilant settlers at the ATS settlement. The two others fled from the scene while one was apprehended by the community. The wounded suspect is from the Highlands region. The United States government today donated to the National Department of Health 25,000 Universal Transport Medium (UTM) test kits and 1,050 BioFire COVID-19 test kits.
