Papua New Guinea has recorded 47 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours ending 12 midday on Saturday June 5, increasing the total number of cases to 16,374. The cases were reported in eight provinces with Simbu reporting the highest of 24 cases. Western Highlands reported nine cases, Madang and National Capital District four each, Milne Bay three, and Morobe, Jiwaka and Hela a single case each.
