Papua New Guinea has recorded two new COVID-19 deaths and 10 new cases in the last 24 hours ending 12 midday on Monday 05th of July, increasing the total number of deaths to 177 and total cases to 17,292. The two deaths were reported in the Hela province. Two people have died – a 50-year-old from Newtown in Nasinu and a 62-year-old from Raiwaqa, Suva. The Health Ministry said the deaths of both men had been under investigation to determine if they were caused by covid.
