Three (3) senior officers in the Visa and Passport Division of the PNG Immigration and Citizenship Authority (PNGICA) have been suspended, sidelined, and referred to police for criminal investigation for engaging in alleged misconduct concerning the processing of visa applications. The annual Mr. & Miss Madang Pageant was a success, which took place under strict COVID-19 protocols said Dr Martin Daimen, the Consultant Physician at Madang’s General Hospital. The first day of racing at the Tokyo 2020 venue started on Sunday (26 July) and will run right through to 30 July. Enoshima is a small island connected to the city of Fujisawa by a bridge. Over 5,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine has been rolled out in Papua New Guinea which included about 604 non-Chinese citizens at the Port Moresby General Hospital since Thursday last week. The vaccine Sinopharm is one of two main coronavirus vaccines from China that got the nod from the World Health Organization to be rolled out in PNG in May and to date has been administered to at least 5,233 people in PNG. Papua New Guinea’s lone boxer at the Olympic Games, John Ume fought in the Round of 32 in the lightweight (63kg) division on Sunday night. Ume lost unanimously against reigning Commonwealth Games champion and gold medallist, Australian, Harry Garside.
