100 hundred oxygen cylinders have been purchased to support the COVID-19 response in Eastern Highlands Province by the National Eastern Highlands Adventist Students Association (NEHASA). Thailand plans to end Covid quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travellers from at least 10 low-risk nations from 1 November, officials say. PM Prayuth Chan-ocha admitted that “this decision comes with some risk” – but it is seen as a key step to revive the country’s collapsed tourism sector. India will ban most single-use plastics by next year as part of its efforts to reduce pollution — but experts say the move is only a first step to mitigate the environmental impact. India’s central government announced the ban in August this year, following its 2019 resolution to address plastic pollution in the country.
