As of Monday 2nd June, 2025, all motor vehicle registrations and driver’s license services in the National Capital District (NCD) will be handled by the Road Traffic Authority (RTA). The National St John Ambulance Council today marked a major milestone with the official opening of the new Lae Ambulance Station, made possible through the PNG–Australia Policing Partnership (PNG-APP). Construction began on 1st November 2024 and was formally handed over on the 7th of March 2025.
