Carbon trading, once fully operational, will be the next source of income for the Climate Change Development Authority (CCDA) as well as for the country given its potential to generate income. The Solomon Islands has lifted all its COVID-19 related requirements and travelers to the destination will no longer need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or COVID-19 test. The new Gordons market was a project that was funded by the people and the Government of New Zealand. The New Zealand Government gave K15million for the new Gordons market. Drilling and blasting is currently happening at the land slide site at Pausa, Wapenamanda in Enga Province. Clearance work has been going on for 3 days now and will continue into the weekend.
