The East New Britain Provincial Education Board will convene a meeting next week to deliberate on Teachers Posting especially the new graduands waiting in line to be employed. Teachers leave fares in the country continue to be an on-going issue every year where they are either eligible or not eligible to receive their leave fares. As for teachers in East New Britain, this seems to be the main case where only 50% of their leave fares were released to them. Police in the nation’s capital city of Port Moresby have apprehended a suspect involved in an attempted carjacking at the Gerehu suburb. According to the Port Moresby Metropolitan Superintendent, Gideon Ikumu, the suspect was apprehended by a police unit at the Gerehu stage three area in the early hours of the evening and is being detained at the Gerehu police station cell. Warangoi Secondary School in East New Britain Province, will soon receive a new duplex for teachers’ houses.
