Buk bilong Pikinini (BbP) marked World Mangrove Day recently on Friday 26th July with awareness events carried out at all Library Learning Centres (LLC) across the country. To celebrate and learn about the importance of mangroves for ecosystems, BbP students engaged in a mixture of learning and fun activities like true environmental scientists. It was a day of emotions for two victims of Sorcery Accusation Related Violence (SARV) who were finally reunited with their families in the Laiagam District of Enga Province on Wednesday July 17th after four months, following torture and humiliation. On March 18th, 2024, the two women were falsely accused of sorcery and were tortured badly when a little boy fell ill due to contaminated food.
