The Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) is pleased to announce the launch of the KNVB WorldCoaches Program in Port Moresby, which will run starting today September 15–19, 2025.
The program coincides with Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations.
The WorldCoaches Program, established by the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB), is a global initiative designed to equip local football coaches with the necessary skills to become not only trainers but also community role models.
The program does more than teach the sport, also focusing on personal development, health education, and social cohesion, which align with broader sustainable development goals.
A total of 26 local participants and 50 children will take part in a series of classroom sessions and on-field activities at the PNG Football Stadium.
The program will be led by two experienced international instructors: Andre Simmelink (Lead Instructor) and Imanuel Rendy Christian (Co-Instructor), who will collaborate with the PNGFA’s technical staff to deliver the course.
The PNGFA expresses its gratitude for the support of the KNVB WorldCoaches Program for enabling this initiative.
