A car driver escaped a crime attack last night and alerted police, who arrested three men and recovered a home made gun, loaded with high powered rifle bullets, and a bush knife.
The motorist was driving out of Dorido street at Port Moresby’s June Valley surburb when he was approached by several suspects armed with guns and knives at around 2am last night.
Two gunshots were reportedly fired, but no injuries or damages were sustained in this crime attack.
The complainant sped to the Waigani Traffic lights and and saw Sector Patrol Fox 204 coming from Morata way.
He flagged them to stop and told them about his ordeal.
The policemen quickly drove to the aforementioned location and arrested three
suspects all from the highlands region.
The police found a home made pistol loaded with five 5.56 bullets and a bush knife, discarded in some nearby bushes.
The suspects were detained and will be charged by the NCD Armed Robbery Squad.
