The University of Papua New Guinea has appointed Ms. Patricia Angopa as the new head of the Banking and Finance Division in the School of Business and Public Policy.
Ms. Angopa has been a lecturer in the School’s Banking and Finance Division for the past eleven years, during
which time she has completed her Masters in Business Administration and a Postgraduate Teaching Certificate in the UPNG/JCU Twinning Project.
She is also a member of the Certified Practicing Accounting of Papua New Guinea (CPAPNG). Ms. Angopa has been responsible for teaching five of the core courses that are offered in the Banking and Finance Division, and currently is responsible for teaching several postgraduate
courses for the Division.
Her contributions to the School and the Division in developing young banking and finance students have validated her appointment as the new head of that Division, which is another step in her professional career.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Frank Griffin, and the Executive Dean, School of Business and Public Policy, Professor Lekshimi Pillai expressed their satisfaction with Ms. Angopa’s appointment.
