Ms Sansan confirmed that the position was advertised and that the proper processes were followed through to the National Executive Council – who is the appointing authority who made the appointment. Secretary Ms. Taies Sansan said, the issue of appointment of the Provincial Administrator for Madang is a decision made by the National Executive Council based on a resolution and recommendation by the Provincial Executive Council.
“I reminded the Madang public servants that they are paid by the government and what they did was improper.
As public servants they should remain neutral at all times”.
