Power outages in the National Capital District will continue on into next week as PNG Power teams carry out load shedding exercise on its feeders across the city.
PNG Power call centre confirmed that the load shedding exercise was undertaken as a result of power shortfall from Rouna.
It said water generation from Rouna is not enough at this time to supplement electricity therefore PPL had to do load shedding.
Power outages in the city began early this week with various areas being affected.
Meanwhile, PPL is yet to issue the load shedding schedule for different areas within the Nation’s Capital.
