It's Back! The Yumi FM PNG Musik Awards drops in May, and it is going to be bigger and better as we celebrate 20 years of recognizing and promoting local Papua New Guinea musicians.

Set for the 23rd of May 2026 at the Lamana Gold Club in Port Moresby city, the Yumi FM PNG Musik Awards will feature once again local artists and the Awards for top performing artists, groups, and unique individuals who have shined in the Papua New Guinea (PNG) music industry in 2025.

PNGFM Senior Content Director, Tuluwan Viitz says celebrating 20 years is a major milestone as it recognizes the Awards’ long-standing contribution to the PNG music industry, its role in discovering and promoting local talent, and its impact in supporting the growth of PNG music over the years.

“This year’s Awards will be a special celebration of PNG music culture, the artists, and the fans who have supported the industry over the past two decades. Highlighting the Concept of Hauslain to the Big Stage,” she said.

“While it may be different from previous years, the public can still expect a memorable event that honours the journey of PNG music.”
