The University of Papua New Guinea has postponed it’s 66th graduation to an indefinite date due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.
UPNG Vice Chancellor Professor Frank Griffin said the University Council made this decision following the recent measures that were issued by the Controller given the current COVID-19 situation in the country.
“We are not cancelling the graduation, we are just postponing it until the situation with COVID-19 in NCD subsides and when it’s safe to host a graduation.”
He said the University will have to wait for further instructions from the Controller.
Meanwhile Professor Griffin said they are yet to confirm the total number of students who will be graduating this year.
