Trans Pacific Assurance has donated a total of K58,468.84 of in-kind sponsorship towards the Port Moresby Nature Park, further enhancing their Gold Sponsorship to the Park.
Upon making the donation on Friday last week, Trans Pacific Assurance CEO, Mr. Philip Tolley said the company supports the mission of the Port Moresby Nature Park, therefore are happy to always lend a hand in supporting its operations.
“We genuinely feel that the Nature Park is an icon here in Port Moresby, and emphasize the difficulties that they are encountering due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As an Insurance company we understand the importance of insurance for any business especially in a highly abnormal year like this and more so for a not-for-profit organization like Port Moresby Nature Park. We feel that the Park has been placed in an unfair position that is also not any fault of their own, so we are more than happy to lend a hand. For us
it is all about forming long term relationships and helping friends when they need it most.” said Philip Tolley, Chief Executive Officer of Trans Pacific Assurance Ltd.
When accepting the donation Port Moresby Nature Park’s General Manager, Mr David Thompson said “In a time such as this where businesses are recovering from the impacts of Covid-19 in 2020, the sponsorship from Trans Pacific Assurance to the Port Moresby Nature Park allows it as an organisation to operate a little smoother, helping in the Park’s recovery process since the lockdowns last year, which had significantly affected its regular operations”.
Trans Pacific Assurance is a long term sponsor to the Park and the Port Moresby Nature Park values the mutual relationship it shares with the company and its management. Port Moresby Nature Park is a charity organization that relies on grants and donor funding to operate.
By visiting the park and joining our Membership, you help support the Park’s efforts in preserving PNG’s unique natural environment for future generations, including the Park’s 550 resident animals, majority of which have been surrendered to the Park for care.
