The key significant figures, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moresby South MP and JT Super 9’s Tournament Golden Sponsor Justin Tkatchenko alongside the National Capital District (NCD) Governor Powes Parkop and Tournament Director Bagelo Solien, officially launched the JT Super 9’s yesterday evening with a show of fireworks in accordance with the nations 50th Anniversary.
JT Super 9’s Tournament Chief Executive Mr. Bagelo Solien, who spoke at the launching also strongly reaffirmed his strong stand on “No Violence” throughout the competition, warning teams of the harsh penalties should the 9’s competition bylaws be violated.
Mr. Solien concluded by thanking the tournaments golden sponsor MP Tkatchenko for his generous support to the JT 9’s and always putting his best foot forward towards youth empowerment, including NCD Governor Parkop.
Minister Tkatchenko later proudly presented over 100 Rugby 9’s teams consisting of the Women and Men’s-Open and the Under -20s, to the fans and communities from across NCD.
Furthermore, he expressed gratitude to the NCD Governor Parkop for the partnership and support to Moresby south and pledges to deliver more for the sake of the people of Moresby South, he also extended his thanks to the Moresby South community for the support and respect.
