About 400 students attending the Flexible Open and Distance Education (FODE) Centre in Madang Province have received tablets and Home Learning Pack sets to assist them with their studies.
“Im very proud to be here in Madang FODE Centre to distribute the tablets and Home Learning Pack sets under the Global Partnership for Education Covid Relief Package.”
“5 Districts have been identified and Madang FODE Centre was among them for students to benefit under this program,” said school Principal, Mr Anthony Rayappan.
Due to Covid19 disrupting students’ studies and teaching, the donor partners came up with this assistance for students to use the tablets for their learning and also to help them with their studies at home.
Mr Rayappan added that student enrolment at the FODE centre has gone over 1,500 and they are now looking for ways to improve the run-down facilities.
He is requesting for funding from the provincial government and the provincial Members of Parliament to improve the infrastructures for the FODE centre.
