STAGAJAH CELEBRATES A DECADE IN MUSIC

For more than a decade, Stagajah has remained a powerful and consistent voice in Papua New Guinea’s music scene, connecting with audiences both locally and abroad.

Formed in 2014, the group has steadily built its reputation through music that reflects everyday life, love, identity and community.

Over the years, Stagajah has evolved from a small creative collective into one of the country’s most recognizable and respected musical acts.

The group is made up of talented musicians and songwriters Jay Ray, Gaix, Statz and Stonky, each contributing unique creative strengths.

Together, they have developed a distinct sound that blends smooth vocals, conscious lyrics and island-inspired rhythms, setting them apart within the local music industry.

Stagajah’s music catalogue features several popular tracks that have enjoyed strong radio airplay and digital streaming success.

Songs such as Go Back, Leah, Sambolangi and Hategu have helped cement their place on PNG radio charts and playlists, earning the group a loyal fan base.

Their impact has also been recognized within the industry, with multiple nominations and awards at the Yumi FM PNG Music Awards, particularly in group and song categories.

These accolades reflect both their musical quality and widespread audience appeal.

Beyond awards and hit songs, Stagajah’s influence lies in its contribution to the growth of modern PNG music, inspiring a new generation of artists.

To celebrate their 10-year journey, Stagajah will host the Decade of Stagalova Concert at the Cosmopolitan on Friday, 19 December 2025.

The concert will feature supporting performances by Saii Kay, Moqai and BeeJoh, with a special appearance from Sounds of Hauvu.

Presold tickets are available for K60, while door entry on the night will be K80.

The band has thanked fans for their continued loyalty, acknowledging that music trends change over time but saying they deeply appreciate the unwavering support they have received throughout the years.

They have encouraged fans to come out and celebrate the past 10 years of music with them at this milestone event tomorrow in Port Moresby city.
