Easter is a time for giving and with it commitment in sharing Christ’s love in Papua New Guinea in the good and bad times, Samaritan Aviation continues to show its commitment in this time of despair when everyone in East Sepik is affected by the 7.3 magnitude earth quake.
Country Director Samaritan Aviation Mr Chris Cooke stated that Samaritan Aviation is been busy flying in patients injured from their houses collapsing on top of them.
Whilst working closely with the Sepik Provincial Disaster Relief Officer flying out patients who have sustained injuries from affected areas because of the earthquake, they are still doing additional emergency life flights along the Sepik plains and the remote areas.
“We are assisting the Sepik Provincial Disaster Relief Officers by performing aerial and ground surveys of the affected areas,” said Mr Cooke Country Director.
“We are privileged to serve the people of East Sepik and our hearts are with them in this time of disaster.”
From delivering essential medical supplies to getting patients to the hospital, a typical day on a Samaritan Aviation medical mission is filled with moments of hope and healing.
“We’re proud to be a part of such impactful work.”
