The organizers of the Rigo Rice Cup have reinforced their commitment to maintaining discipline and upholding the tournament’s by-laws, emphasizing that lawlessness will not be tolerated.
According to KCK Rigo Rice organizing committee, a penalty notice was issued to the United Finance M3 Bulldogs Rugby League Club following a successful appeal by Odesh Magarima United.
The appeal revealed that Peter Pakali and Jason Kusanaik, who had already played in the first leg for City Taubadas and D8 Mosquitos, respectively, attempted to participate again in violation of tournament regulations. Despite multiple announcements and previous removals of players under similar circumstances, the breach occurred, prompting organizers to take decisive action.
As a result, both players have been placed on an official warning notice and are prohibited from participating in legs 2, 3, and 4. Any further violations will result in a three-year ban from the Rigo Rice Cup. Additionally, the United Finance M3 Bulldogs must pay a double fine before February 6th before 4:00 PM to be eligible for a rematch.
The KCK Rigo Rice Cup organizers are urging all teams to familiarize themselves with the by-laws to avoid penalties and ensure a fair and orderly competition.
