Residents of the Talasia district in West New Britain Province appreciated the initiative of the Bakovi Kabu Taku Development Association for organizing community talk on education and law order in the wards of Talasia.
In a speech shared by a community representative, the awareness was something they really need in order to put their district and society in well-organized manner.
Vice President of the Association, Mr. Michael Reu Junior, stated that so far there has been good attendance from the people in the village and they had been receiving many positive feedbacks from their visits.
Community leaders and stake holders took their time to be available at each of the main venues to listen to the students and professionals.
The awareness will continue for one more week due to the bad weather in some places they visited and had caused a delay to their program.
“The wards we already visited, are ward six, ward eight and nine. Because of the rainy weather we were not able to proceed ahead”.
“There is no negative comments about this project, everyone in community are behind us and showing support so that the awareness must reach all the wards”.
President Reu urged the children, youths and parents of the Talasia district to promote and protect their original culture which is based on good ethics and respect in the communities.
He further explained, for the community to experience a good environment and happy society the youths and children need to refrain from associating with illegal activities and live a healthy lifestyle and healthy behavior.
“The main reason the association is focusing on education, is because we see that youths of Talasia could be better as others, and education and law order awareness is our first step in helping them.”
“We want to see change and transition in our communities so that communities would not be a notorious place, but full of intelligent citizen and have the power to drive the communities into more development.”
