Papua New Guinea (PNG) Prime Minister James Marape addressed and labelled the Enga Porgera Mine reopening as a significant milestone during the 17th PNG Resource and Energy Conference held in Sydney, Australia. Prime Minister Marape shared among the 1500 individuals of Industry Leaders, Resource Sector Minsters, private sector, and government representatives that the Pogera Gold Mine is soon to be reopened. Stressing the Following Grant of the Special Mine Development Contract (MDC) and Special Mining Lease, and also the progressive workshop on overdue issues as the landowner Compensation Agreement. “Porgera is a step away from ignition,” said Prime Minister Marape.
