The Port Moresby Softball Association is taking steps to revive the Junior Competition, after almost 25 years of inexistence.
This will be done in phases, starting off with the long awaited ‘Liklik Juniors Softball and Masters Open Day’ on the 28th of January, at the Bisini Softball Diamonds in Port Moresby.
According to the POM Softball Association’s Competition Coordinator, Mr. Constantine Bais, the juniors will be divided into age groups for the day’s activities.
“Kids from 4 years old, up to 14 years, will play Tee Ball. Those from 15-18 years old, will play softball on the day.”
It is K30 for registrations for those interested to take part in the Open Day competition.
This will then lead on to the start of the Port Moresby Softball Association’s season proper, which will kick start with the junior’s comp.
“The general public is welcomed to the Open Day so if you are interested to play, come on down to the Bisini Diamonds and register. The main aim here is to revive the junior competition but we will also have a lot of fun as well.”
