Police Sector Patrol 100 officers in the National Capital District on Wednesday August 14 acted swiftly after receiving a report of armed men robbing a Badihagwa Secondary School bus.
The robbers stole laptops, phones, and exam papers from teachers headed to the school.
After being alerted by the victims, police quickly responded to the scene and began searching the nearby settlements.
During the search, police officers discovered a homebrew operation in progress, although the suspect managed to flee.
Several individuals were apprehended and were questioned by authorities.
The brewing and consumption of homebrew continue to be a significant problem in settlements, contributing to crime and violence in the city, and according to police records, many weekend fights and criminal activities are linked to the consumption of homebrew.
