The Cancer Foundation of Papua New Guinea (PNGCF) hopes to raise over K100 000, with the return of the famed Daffodil Corporate Golf Challenge with approval from the National Controller.
The charity golf event is set to tee off at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club on the 20th of August, 2021.
The private and business communities in the country are always supportive of the PNGCF and are enthusiastic about the Golf Challenge, with all funds raised from PNGCF events in 2021 will go towards supporting Public Health Programs in 2022.
“We have up to ten (10) teams that have registered so far, for the Daffodil Corporate Golf Challenge,” said the Marketing Coordinator for the PNG Cancer Foundation, Ms. Deborah Steven, giving an update on the organizations that have registered.
“It cost K3,000 to register for the Daffodil Corporate Golf Challenge and we are currently on target,” said Ms. Steven.
“The funds will be used to run our Healthy Teens School Programs and also our Community Outreach and Prevention Education Programs,” said Ms. Steven.
“The venue management have measures in place to ensure that the new normal measures are observed and we will also have health checks for the teams participating, before they can enter the venue,” says Ms. Steven, speaking about what the PNGCF is doing to ensure that things run smoothly on the Gold Challenge Day.
The participating teams and the PNGCF are excited about the return of the Golf Challenge and are anticipating a good turnout on the day.
