A total of 78,966 Grade 10 students in Papua New Guinea have sat the National Written Expression Examination yesterday (June 1st 2023).
The exam topic across all 452 high and secondary schools nationwide was “MY BEST FRIEND”.
In Western Province, the written expression exam was conducted in six secondary schools and five high schools within the province.
In North Fly District, a total of 302 grade 10 students from Kiunga Secondary School sat the exams while in Middle Fly District, a total of 42 grade 10 students attending the Aiambak High School also sat the exam on Thursday 01st May.
Within the province, a total of 1,657 students sat the written expression exams.
Western Provincial Education Adviser Mr. Charlie Buia said all exam papers were distributed in days earlier prior to the exam date, adding that all schools within the province conducted the Written Expression Exam well.
Following the Grade 10 exams, the written expression for all grade 12’s across the country will be conducted on August 7th this academic year.
