The YUMIFM PNG MUSIK AWARDS is back for another year to recognize the local artists and their contributions to the music industry in Papua New Guinea (PNG) with awards in the various categories, including the prestigious Justin Kili Award sponsored by KEYNOTE.
YumiFM’s Content Director, Ms. Vivian Dumit ‘Tuluan Vitz,’ stated that among the 10 categories for the Musik Awards is the ‘Justin Kili’ Award which recognizes people that have contributed immensely to the growth and promoting PNG’s music industry locally and globally.
“The Justin Kili Awards is an award that is specifically given to creatives in the music industry, that is, artists, musicians or producers who have made a significant contribution to the music industry in Papua New Guinea, but who were not given the proper recognition they deserved.”
“The Justin Kili Award was intended to find out from our listeners, which artists, musicians or producers they think deserve recognition and why.”
This award was named after the late Justin Hansu Kili, OL MBE, who started the initiative of the YUMIFM PNG MUSIK AWARDS in 2004 and was one of the founding members of YumiFM.
Nominations for the 2023 Justin Kili Awards, sponsored by KEYNOTE, will be open from Monday 11th March to Sunday 24th March.
Listeners are given an opportunity to vote by commenting on our social media posts or through calling our stations.
The Justin Kili Award, sponsored by KEYNOTE, will be given based on the statistics collected through listeners’ votes.
