MVIL OPENS PHASE TWO OF HEAD OF OFFICE

The Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited (MVIL) has officially opened Phase Two of its head office infrastructure development aimed at improving staff welfare, customer service and claims management in the Southern Region.

Speaking at the ceremony on Thursday, MVIL Chief Executive Officer Bafino Koi thanked stakeholders, board members and staff and conveyed apologies from State Enterprises Minister William Duma, who was unavailable due to other commitments.

“This second phase follows the completion of Phase One, with a third phase already planned,” Mr. Koi said.

“The improvements to our infrastructure are critical to enhancing our image, branding and service delivery.”

He acknowledged the MVIL Board, led by Chairman Dr John McKup and the State Enterprises Ministry for approving the upgrades, including the former office complex.

The new facility will now house MVIL’s Southern Region Claims Office.

“MVIL has four regions nationwide, but until now, we did not have a dedicated claims office for the Southern Region,” Mr. Koi said.

“This development ensures that claimants from the Southern Region can now be served locally and efficiently.”

Mr. Koi also highlighted MVIL’s shift to a modern digital system.

“We have fully migrated to a new system that allows us to serve policyholders more efficiently,” he said, noting temporary delays due to data migration.

He said services are expected to stabilize in the new year, supported by e-commerce and QR code technology.

“Our collaboration with RTA, Road Fund and provincial governments is crucial to ensuring the public receives uninterrupted and efficient services,” Mr. Koi said, assuring motor dealers and fleet owners that earlier service issues have been resolved.

He thanked local contractor and MVIL’s technology partners for delivering Phase Two on time, before wishing staff and stakeholders a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2026.
