The event was witnessed by the communities around the borders of Hohola and Tokarara, where the parade took place, opposite the New Testament Church in the presence of MSS Owner Mr. Mathew Sokoli and MSS General Manager (GM) Mr. Billy James.
This event under the leadership of MSS General Manager (GM) Billy James and owner Mathew Sokoli, marked a significant step in MSS’s ongoing efforts to combat youth unemployment and foster professional development in Port Moresby.
During the event, the MSS GM Mr. James underscored the company’s dedication to creating job prospects for young people in the city.
He reaffirmed MSS’s mission to empower the youth, providing them with not only employment but also a sense of purpose and responsibility.
Mr. James stressed that this initiative aligns with broader national efforts to address the pressing issue of youth unemployment.
By engaging young individuals in meaningful and professional roles, MSS is playing a crucial role in reducing crime rates and enhancing community safety.
Mr. James acknowledged the pressing agenda of creating employment for Unemployment Youths as addressed by the Prime Minister James Marape, and retaliates with a positive initiative, emphasizing the need to take initiative and make a positive impact.
One of the youth security officer Mr. Livingstone Leo expressed his appreciation towards Masol Security Service towards providing employment for youths, emphasizing the hardship most youth endure to acquire employment.
“Despite having a standard qualification from grade 12, Diploma or even a Degree for work, not all qualified people find work and this initiative embraces the unfortunate and gives a chance to start a professional career.”
Mr. Leo further stressed that the local Masol Security Service is a generous and giving establishment that holds and empowers youths strongly.
The final parade followed three rigorous induction sessions designed to equip the recruits with essential security standards, ethics, and workplace discipline.
These sessions aimed to prepare the youths for upcoming employment opportunities in the security sector and beyond.
The recruitment of over 500 youths reflects the growing number of unemployment and highlights MSS’s committed leadership youth development in the security industry.
As these new recruits step into their roles, the positive impact of this initiative will be felt across the city, reinforcing the importance of structured employment programs for youth empowerment and economic growth.
