The involvement of local lease holders from Sandy Creek, Maus Kaindi in Wau, and Widupos in Bulolo will see Lease Holders involving their own family members to work on their production sites.
MAML is keen to engage more Morobeans in the future as soon as it receives grant for Maus Markham, Maus Watut, Maus Wafi & Maus Buang.
According to MAML CEO, Ms Brigitta Pondros, if any small scale miner and his/ her family can participate as long as they are willing to work with MAML.
MAML is set to expand its operations in the near future and will advise when the company is ready to take on board more qualified Papua New Guineans with first preference to be given to Morobeans and those living in Lae to eliminate the system of ‘fly in-fly out’.
