JB Engineering Kedewa (JBEK) delivered a commanding 32-0 victory performance in their third-round clash against 3 Mile Medics (3MM) in the KCK Rigo Rice Cup in Port Moresby today.
The game-two of the KCK Rigo Rice Cup Round 3 saw a huge upset by the JBEK’s dominant performance at Field 2 at the Bava Park.
The match kicked off explosively, with JBEK’s Isaac Kaige scoring a try in the very first minute, successfully converted by Clive Wally to set the tone for the game. Mr. Willie added another try in the 10th minute, though the conversion was missed. JBEK continued to pile on the pressure as Vali Geno scoring his first and Kaige with his second, passing the line again in the 18th and 21st minutes, respectively.
Despite conversion struggles, JBEK entered halftime with an 18-0 lead.
The second half saw more of the same dominance. Raymond Pepo extended JBEK’s lead with another try, followed by Lawrence Gor, whose two-pointer was successfully converted by Wally. Kim Nala sealed the victory with a final try, leaving 3MM scoreless.
While 3MM earned four penalties compared to JBEK’s one, they failed to capitalize on their opportunities, struggling to break through JBEK’s defensive wall.
With this emphatic 32-0 victory, JBEK has solidified its place as a dominant team in the tournament, while 3MM will need to regroup and improve their next game.
