The Kagua Woodman (KW) remain confident and focused on the Plate playoffs after suffering defeat in Cup Playoffs on Friday 20th December 2024.
KW Head Coach Darius Kuna told PNG HAUSBUNG of his disappointment with his team’s loss but embraced it as a challenge to work smarter to secure wins in the upcoming plate playoffs.
Despite the endless criticism from supporters and fans to field officials, the outcome remained the same prompting both teams to focus on the game and not get distracted.
Coach Kuna stressed with respect to the field official’s role but emphasized the need for coordination and communication to swiftly officiate matches for fair and decisive decision making in awarding penalties.
However, Mr. Kuna added he was pleased with his team’s efforts throughout the entire match, especially towards the end despite failed attempts of two tries and a 2-points penalty kick.
Furthermore, Mr. Kuna reiterated the need for field officials to be more active on the field especially in the upcoming final plate finals.
He concluded that KW now would prepare for the final playoffs and will come strong.
