This position is responsible for gathering news leads, researching stories, shooting and editing video and audio files, covering and producing radio and online stories in English and Tok Pisin, and presenting news bulletins on-air.
This position will be assigned work and managed by the News Editor and News Director.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Tok Pisin
• Applicants must have a keen interest in news and sports, strong organizational and planning skills, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to deliver under strict news deadlines
• Practical application of Microsoft Office suite programs
• Three (3) years relevant work experience would be an advantage
• Knowledge of the Media Code of Ethics preferred
• Knowledge of operation of still and video cameras, and audio recording devices is an advantage

• News Stories: Gathering news leads, researching stories, covering major stories and events, producing radio and online stories in English and Tok Pisin.

• News Presentation: Write stories for online and on-air, preparing run-downs for news bulletins for on-air presentation in consultation with the News Editor and News Director.

• News Integrity: Responsible for the dissemination of factual information according to the Media Code of Ethics and guidelines of the Media Council of Papua New Guinea.
