Jacks of PNG opened its new shop at WaterFront, Downtown in Port Moresby city today, bringing the total number of shops to seven.
In spite of challenges faced in the previous year, in which a shop was burned down within Stop ‘N’ Shop, Rainbow during Black Wednesday’s riots, the new outlet’s opening demonstrated Jacks of PNG’s resilience amidst the country’s tumultuous events.
Speaking to PNG HAUSBUNG, Retail Shop Manager, Timothy Eddie was pleased seeing many regular customers coming as well as new ones.
“A lot of our customers were eager to know about the shop’s location.”
“Some even expressed delight knowing that services were now closer to their residence which was convenient – particularly for the working class who reside Downtown.”
“It was now easy for them to purchase attire for formal events or daily wear.”
He added that Jacks of PNG’s team is currently working on a project in Kokopo.
The shop employs twelve staff; six are newly employed – three males and three females.
Jacks of PNG also has outlets at Lae, Madang and Mt. Hagen.
