The SWG TSI Valley Hunters women’s team put on a confident performance in their Round 2 matchup against Wanderers in the NiuPower CRUW 2025 on Saturday in Port Moresby city.
Played at 12:40pm, the Hunters ran away with a 10-0 victory, showcasing disciplined defense and fluent attacking movements scoring two tries in both the first and second half without.
The team scored one try and successfully slotted a conversion, keeping Wanderers scoreless throughout the encounter.
Referee Mrs. Dulcie, supported by assistant referees Mr. Bradley and Alwin D. maintained a fair and balanced contest, including Manu. I once again serving as the scorekeeper.
Valley Hunters were dominant at the breakdown and clinical in execution, regularly disrupting the Wanderers’ attacking momentum.
The crowd witnessed consistent patterns in the Hunters’ playing style, aggressive in defense and composed in attack. The women’s match mirrored the strength of the Hunters club overall on the day, as they completed a clean sweep across all divisions.
Wanderers showed flashes of brilliance and determination but failed to convert those moments.
