GULF PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT SIGNS MOA FOR CENSUS
With the National Census just five weeks away from commencing, the Gulf Provincial Government has come onboard with an official signing of memorandum recently with the National Statistical Office (NSO) to ensure the Census is also conducted in the Gulf Province. With few provinces remaining to sign MOA’s with the NSO, preparation is well underway for the National Census that will be conducted in the country from June 17th to 30th, 2024. Gulf Provincial Administrator, Mr. Gabriel Opa gave assurance that his administration and the province will work together when signing the agreement with the National Statistician John Igitoi. “National Census is an important National Government agenda and as Provincial Government, we will give the necessary support to ensure the event is successfully implemented in Gulf Province.” "Census is important for the country and our Provincial Government to use the exact statistics and Population data provided by the NSO for us to use in our development plan," Mr. Opa added.
