FOUR FIRST VICTORS IN ROUND-1 | KCK RRC SEASON-2

Round One of the KCK Rigo Rice Cup Season-Two unfolded at Bava Park at Bisini in Port Moresby city this afternoon and saw four decisive victories that set a strong competitive tone for the new season.

Day-1 saw the official kickoff made by Principal Lawyer and Kendekali Lawyers founder, Mr. Kieeh Kendekali, whose firm continues as the naming-rights sponsor.

Moreover, the opening round delivered intensity and early power shifts. Southern Hammers claimed the first win of the season after edging Homeland Spartans 12-10 in a tight encounter. Gerehu Bulls then displayed strong form with a 13-4 victory over United Eagles. In one of the most competitive matches of the day, Gerehu Vikings narrowly defeated Freeway Bumpers 14-12. Closing the round, Tati Vanu Dust produced a commanding performance, overpowering Gorobe Panthers 24-8.

With four clubs emerging victorious on opening day, anticipation builds as round one moves forward, promising a tougher competition, rising talent, and continued community engagement.

Furthermore, the presence of Mr. Kendakali and CEO McSteve Polly, reaffirmed the partnership’s commitment to developing grassroots rugby league while promoting community discipline, health, and youth empowerment.
