Football or soccer will be the first sport on the 2023 Pacific Games program when PNG Mens National Team and the Womens National Teams play on November 17, 2023. Both the men and the women's team left early Monday morning on the first Charter Flight to Honiara, Solomon Island. The football competition will kick off two days early prior to the Official Opening of the Games on November 19, 2023, at the new Honiara Stadium.
