The family of former PNG Kapuls captain, Micheal Foster have strong hope that he is safe somewhere and surviving in some part amongst the coastal communities.
The elder brother, Alex Foster, told PNG HAUSBUNG that their father, Max Foster left Lae city on Tuesday in Morobe province for Kimbe town in West New Britain Province and updated the family that there were survivors rescued from the dingy that they were travelling on, giving much hope to the family.
Foster went missing in a boat accident out at sea between the East and West New Britain provinces.
He and his nephew were last seen wearing life jackets before jumping off the dingy.
Meantime, the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) also stands with the Foster family at this time as they hope for the safe return of their loved one.
In a short statement on their social media page, the PNGFA urged the public and fiends to stand together in solidarity with the family and loved ones of the missing persons as search and rescue teams continue their search at this time for the remaining missing ones.
